Last week was not exactly a breeze. Although I did not have any tests, lab or anything whatsoever, still felt stretched as I was trying to catch up with tutorials. My tendency to procrastinate when it comes to schoolwork did not help either. =(
Did not train much; I have toned down alot since Langkawi, and YET I still have trouble finding time to study. Really have to chuck out all my computer-related distractions!!! Damn.. Somehow felt like all the training I did last week was quite siong. SAFRA did hill repeats and staircase intervals for BOTH Tuesday and Thursday, so I have forgotten how many times I must have traipsed up and down Mt Faber. Then Saturday's ride with WildCat and gang was another horror story. Up and down Mandai we went, at speeds in excess of 40kmh!!! It was a truly crazy heart-pumping and mucus-clearing ride! Went home and legs just died.
Had mechanics test yesterday and fluids mechanics today. Though not extremely difficult, once again I have been reminded how bad is my foundation in engineering. Quite a few elementary concepts (think year 1 stuff) was tested, and my weakness were immediately exposed. Oh how I sat completely stark-naked in the lecture hall as the ghosts of year 1 engineering haunted me and relentlessly taunted me with their conceptual and analytical questions! Arrgggh!
Ok switching over to french now. (les amis français, m'aidez de corriger mes phrases si j'aurais des fautes! merci!)
Le samedi soir passée, c'était la fête de la francophonie qui a été organisé par François, un prof de français dans NUS, NTU et Alliance Française. C'était dans l'île de Sentosa, Bora Bora. Il y avait un buffet de satay, un tombola, un quiz de chansons françaises et une groupe de rock-band! Maximum cool lah! 8 de nous sont allés à là-bas: Andi, Sinhui, Letch, Mark, Michelle, Jianhui, Jiaxi et moi! L'équipe de NUS! Allez! Hehe..
Nous avons regardés les enseignants qui nous connaissons dans NUS: Nicolas, Emmanuelle, François (bien sûr!), etc. Nous avons fait de connaissance avec les autres francophonies. Je suis certain qu'après la fête, les francophonies de NUS et NTU sont plus familiale avec l'un l'autre qu'avant! Hehe.. =D À cause de moi lah!
Nous avons mangés, nous avons bavardés et nous avons dansés. Malheureusement, nous n'avons gagnés le quiz et le tombola! Et nous avons achetés 8 billets de tombola! Letch!!! Tu nous a dit qu'il est très facile de gagner un prix!!! Tant pis!
Mais de rien, la nuit était gentille et nous étions très contents. À l'année prochain.. une autre fête! =) Ok, je vous présente les photos! Merci Michelle et bien amusez votre-même!
